About Guru Purnima
Guru Purnima honors teachers (gurus) — both spiritual and academic. It is the birth anniversary of sage Vyasa (who compiled the Vedas and wrote the Mahabharata). Disciples express gratitude to their gurus on this day.
🎉 Traditions & Customs
Students visit their teachers with gifts, flowers, and sweets. Spiritual seekers perform puja of their guru's photo or feet. Bhajan and discourses organized.
🌾 In Haryana & Mundakhera
Gurukul culture is still respected in Haryana. Ex-students visit retired teachers. Village schools organize felicitation programs for teachers.
