About Gandhi Jayanti
Gandhi Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (October 2, 1869), the Father of the Nation. Gandhi led India's non-violent independence movement and is revered worldwide for his principles of ahimsa (non-violence) and satyagraha (truth-force).

Prayer meetings, spinning khadi (charkha), cleanliness drives (Swachh Bharat initiatives), essay and speech competitions in schools. Visits to Gandhi memorials. The day is also observed as International Day of Non-Violence at the UN.
🌾 In Haryana & Mundakhera
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan activities are organized in villages on this day. School children clean the panchayat premises, roads, and water bodies. Gram Panchayat may organize a photo exhibition on Gandhi's life. This is also a day when Gram Sabha panchayat meetings may be held.
