About Republic Day
Republic Day commemorates January 26, 1950 when the Constitution of India came into effect, replacing the Government of India Act. India became a full democratic republic on this day. The main parade in New Delhi is broadcast nationwide.

🌾 In Haryana & Mundakhera
The Gram Panchayat organizes flag hoisting at the panchayat bhawan. Students from village schools participate. The sarpanch reads a message from the Chief Minister. Village guards (chowkidaar) present a guard of honor.
